Members who ride a R1200 GS

Hi. I am a native of Cape Town and have been riding bikes since 1992. I recently got my second BMW (a R1200 GS 2006). Before that I had a BMW F650. Christoff

I have been riding since 1983, in fact the moment I could afford a bike. I have done some main circuit racing and provide personalised motorcycle rider training and help out with the WPMC Advanced Riding School.

Hi my name is Geandrie

I am living in Paarl and I own a R1200GS. I love riding gravel roads so I am constantly looking for new roads to explore. I have been riding for about 6 years now and my previous bike was a Dakar.

Hi my name is Sean I am 52 years old I live in Durbanville I am a partner in a chain of Supplement shops. Engaged to a wonderful woman who also enjoys the bike. I look forward to meeting new faces and having a great time with the BMW group.

I am 60 years old and hired a KTM990 (hope I can mention this) in the UK. Travelled with my son (F800GS) and wife in the Cottswold. Bought a R1200GS on Friday.
After a break of some 25 years the bug bit again. My last BMW was a R50/5 way back in the late seventies. I thought I would "ease" back into biking againa and bought a KLR650 with the idea of trading up after about a year or two. Well I could not wait and took the plunge after six months and bought the R1200GS. The KLR650 is a great bike.

Hi All, I am a 28 year old young professional with a passion for all things adventure. I have been brought up in a 4x4 family, and having owned 2 BMW cars I have fallen in love with the build quality, enjoyment level and resale value. I have ridden 'small' bikes throughout my life, on farms, on the road, etc... but my fascination for the 2 wheeled beast has got the better of me and I have reached a point where i can no longer say no. I will be buying my first BMW bike in the next week or 2 and I am very keen to join the legendary BMW 2 wheeled community. I look forward to riding with you all one day, sharing a laugh over a coffee or a beer (not necessarily in that order)
I own a IT company, I am a paramedic and enjoy watersports and biking - i am an avg rider not bad
Started riding again 7 years ago after a long break, on the 650GS, (800) and now have a 1200 GS as well. Wife loves to ride along, and 2 sons ride too. From Somerset West.
